The Government has introduced emergency legislation allowing local councils to have virtual meetings. The re-arranged meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Monday 27 April at 7pm and members of the public are welcome to join this Zoom Meeting. The meeting ID is: 847 2531 5047 and the password is: 5A05VS. As we are using the free version (at present) we will need to log out of the meeting just before the 40 minutes free time ends and then log back in a couple of minutes later.
To join, you will need to either download the Zoom Cloud meeting app from your device app store or by visiting the zoom website https://zoom.us/ and create an account.
Please find the latest agenda and minutes on the downloads section of the website.
If you are able to offer any support to the community at this difficult time, please see the attached poster for more information on volunteering with Sefton CVS

Pride of Formby 2020 - Postponed
It is with deep regret that Formby Parish Council has come to the decision to postpone the Pride of Formby Awards which were due to be held on Friday 27 March following the latest government advice with regards to social events. We will keep you informed as to when we are able to rearrange the awards later in the year.
The safety of the public is our top priority and hope that you understand our decision to postpone.
The referendum was held on Thursday 10th October 2019 and 85.56% of the votes cast were in favour of the Plan. The Neighbourhood Plan now has full weight and will be used to help determine planning applications in the Formby and Little Altcar are. The Plan will be formally adopted by Sefton Council on 21st November 2019.
Formby and Little Altcar's Neighbourhood Plan document is available to view here
The Parish Council's vision for Formby is that it will continue to be a popular, pleasant and proserous place to live. We want to use this website to consult with local people and help make this vision a reality.
Key to this will be our joint Neighbourhood Plan with Little Altcar Council. This has been prepared by the local community and considers local issues and includes policies designed to protect the environment and reduce the impact of flooding which developers will have to adhere to once this becomes a "Made" Plan. External examination has now completed and the Examiner has approved the Plan to go to referendum which will be on 10th October 2019. The detailed examiners report and the final Formby and Little Altcar Neighbourhood Development Plan are available to view on our dedicated neighbourhood plan pages (click on the map above). A copy of the responses received from the Regulation 16 consultation can be viewed on Sefton Council's website by following the link www.sefton.gov.uk/neighbourhoodplanning - see the dedicated Neighbourhood Plan pages (click on the map above) and the downloads area for all the information relating to this.
The Work We Do pages provide more detailed information about the projects.
Our Community Fund continues to support a number of good causes including faith groups and youth activities. You can also access information about Financial Matters and the Annual Audit Return that the Council is required to complete by law. In addition you can view profiles on each local parish councillor.
To keep up-to-date about what's happening check out our Latest News pages that have, amongst other things, information about local consultations e.g. including those by Sefton Council. Our Formby pages outline why the area is such a great place to live, work and visit. Downloads contain details of forthcoming meetings, minutes of meetings of previous meetings, Neighbourhood Plan information, back issues of our local Newsletter and other information.
