The Formby and Little Altcar Neighbourhood Plan is out to public consultation for 6 weeks from 30 October to 12 December 2016. Following this consultation the responses will be analysed and the Plan may be amended as appropriate to reflect the comments made. A final submission version will then be produced which will be sent to Sefton Council who will conduct a second consultation on the revised document. The results of this then go to an independant examiner who will have the final say as to what can be included in the Plan. The Plan will then come back to Formby residents for a referendum to decide whether to adopt the Plan. If it is adopted it then becomes a "made" plan and a legal planning document which will have to be implemented by Sefton Council.
Residents are invited to the following drop-in event to give their ideas on Formby's future.
The second part of the work in the Village was to find ways to continue our programme of improving the appearance of the area and to develop it over a longer term, and in time make it safer for residents and pedestrians. This continues to be a challenge but by gathering ideas from a small project team, we are preparing a working brief for evaluation.
